Call of Duty: Black Ops II has reportedly generated $2.75 billion in lifetime revenue. This could mean that Black Ops II is the highest-grossing title in the franchise.
The figure was posted by Twitter user @bogorad222 who spotted it in the LinkedIn profile of filmmaker and game designer Micah Wright. Write was a writer at Treyarch in 2012 and worked on Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Zombies.

According to analytics firm Statista, Call of Duty: Black Ops II sold 29.6 million copies as of October 2019.
If the figure is accurate, it’s a timely update on the title’s performance as it’s been around eight years since Activision reported Black Ops II‘s sales data. In 2020, the publisher said the title crossed the $1 billion mark in just 15 days after its launch on November 13, 2012.
