Empires & Puzzles grosses $507 million over two years
Mobile title Empires & Puzzles has generated more than half a billion dollars over two years. Its lifetime installs have reached 41 million.
The update comes from Sensor Tower. This is the rundown by the analytical company:
- Empires & Puzzles revenue has reached $507 million. Android users account for 67% of this total;
- The title’s biggest market is the United States, where it earned $205 million (40% of the total). It is followed by Germany and Russia (12% and 11% respectively);
- 83% of the game’s installs (34 million) are generated on Google Play;
- Russia is responsible for the most of these downloads. There the game’s download count has reached 6.1 million (15%). Russia is followed by the United States and Indonesia.
About the game
Empires & Puzzles is a midcore project by Small Giant Games. It combines the match-3 mechanics with RPG and strategic elements. In its first year, it brought in $33 million. Later, the studio raised $41 million in investments to support the game.
Since December 2018, the studio is 80% owned by Zynga. For the latter, Empires & Puzzles is one of the biggest hits. It has grossed more than other projects in its portfolio like CSR Racing 2 (NaturalMotion ) and Merge Dragons! (Gram Games).
