Adam Boyes has announced his resignation from his position as co-CEO of Iron Galaxy
Adam Boyes is parting ways with Iron Galaxy after an eight-year tenure at the company.
In a blog entry, Boyes revealed that he will conclude his role by the end of this year.
He ascended to the position of CEO in June 2016, following a series of leadership positions at PlayStation, Capcom, Midway Games, and Electronic Arts.
Boyes was named co-CEO in November 2020, sharing the role with Chelsea Blasko, who will now assume the CEO position alone after Boyes' exit.
In his farewell message, Boyes expressed gratitude to his colleagues, stating, "I want to offer my sincerest thanks to the people who welcomed me to lead this company with them."
He also acknowledged Dave Lang for the opportunity to expand Iron Galaxy's potential and thanked Chelsea Blasko for her mentorship in fostering a strong company culture, assuring that the studio is left in capable hands.
Boyes remarked, "Iron Galaxy is the best place I have ever worked. It feels strange to say that in the same breath I'm using to say that I'm leaving, but we all need to follow our hearts. Creating video games is a passionate endeavor for passionate people, and our industry needs more help than ever before."
