Eschatology Entertainment has successfully raised $11.3 million in its Series A funding round
Eschatology Entertainment has successfully secured $11.3 million in a Series A funding round, spearheaded by Krafton.
This funding round saw contributions from GEM Capital and The Games Fund, both of which had previously invested $4 million in 2022, aiding in the studio's early development and recruitment efforts.
The new capital will facilitate the launch of their inaugural game, described as a Souls-like first-person shooter set against a backdrop of an apocalyptic Wild West.
"This agreement transcends mere financial backing; it signifies a collaborative endeavor that enables us to dive deep into crafting a world filled with atmosphere, historical depth, and formidable challenges," remarked Fuad Kuliev, co-founder of Eschatology.
"We now possess the essential resources to realize our ambitious vision, thanks to the support from Krafton and our ongoing collaboration with our long-time partners, GEM Capital and The Games Fund," he added.
Maria Park, Vice President and head of corporate development at Krafton, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: "Eschatology Entertainment stands on the cusp of an exhilarating future, and we are thrilled to back the team and their innovative concepts."
Eschatology Entertainment was established in 2022 by Kuliev, Dmytro Kostiukevych, Boris Nikolaev, and Viktor Antonov, who previously worked at renowned studios such as Valve and Wargaming.
