Eschatology Entertainment, a studio founded by veterans of Wargaming and Valve, has raised $11.3 million in investments
A new deal in the gaming market. Eschatology Entertainment studio has closed a Series A funding round amounting to $11.3 million. The round was led by KRAFTON, the owner of PUBG.
Along with KRAFTON, The Games Fund and GEM Capital also invested in the studio. Notably, these two companies had already invested in Eschatology Entertainment earlier. In 2022, they allocated $4 million to it.
Eschatology Entertainment will use the funds to further develop their debut game—a soulslike shooter set in a post-apocalyptic Wild West. The game has moved from the pre-production phase to active production, but the studio is not yet ready to announce a release date.
Eschatology Entertainment was founded in 2022. Among its founders is Viktor Antonov, the visual director of Half-life 2 and Dishonored. Three other founders previously worked at Wargaming. Currently, Eschatology Entertainment employs a staff of 65.
