Supercell has announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer
Gerard Griffin has been named the new Chief Financial Officer at Supercell. With a quarter-century of experience in finance and management, Griffin has held top roles at notable companies such as Electronic Arts, Zynga, NBC, and Sportradar.
Griffin expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with the leadership team to expand Supercell's gaming and business ventures in creative ways. Meanwhile, Janne Snellman, the departing CFO, will continue to contribute to the company by supporting ongoing and prospective growth projects, including partnerships with companies Supercell invests in.
"Joining the remarkable team at Supercell is exhilarating," stated Griffin. "Collaborating with Ilkka and the leadership team offers an exciting opportunity as we strive to innovate and expand our world-class game collection and dedicated player community."
Supercell's CEO, Ilkka Paananen, acknowledged Griffin's capabilities, noting, "Ger understands what it takes to build successful companies. His extensive background and unique Irish humor complement our culture at Supercell. We believe his leadership will be instrumental in enhancing our business as we continue to develop outstanding games."
Note: A previous headline inaccurately mentioned Gerard Griffin as the CEO. This has now been corrected to reflect his role as CFO.
