Abiotic Factor sold 600,000 copies in three months
The cooperative survival game Abiotic Factor is another successful project in the portfolio of publisher Playstack, which previously released the hit game Balatro. The game entered early access on Steam on May 2, 2024. Since then, it has been purchased over 600,000 times.
Abiotic Factor
- Before its release, Abiotic Factor had about 200,000 wishlists on Steam.
- In the first eight days, the game was purchased 250,000 times—eight times more than its creators had expected. By the end of May, sales had exceeded 300,000 copies.
- To date, 38% of Abiotic Factor players are from the United States. A significant portion of the game's audience also comes from China (21%), the United Kingdom (4%), Russia (4%), Canada (4%), Japan (4%), Germany (3%), and Australia (3%).
- According to estimates from GameDiscoverCo, Abiotic Factor is currently among the top 30 best-selling new paid games of 2024 on Steam.
- Playstack acknowledges that the trailer showcase for Abiotic Factor at major presentations like Future Games Show had little impact on the game's popularity. Gamers were primarily attracted through the "content-rich" demo version and streamers.
