Warner Bros has appointed the former head of Bethesda studio to steer WB Games Montreal

Warner Bros has announced the appointment of Yves Lachance as the new video president and head of its Montreal games studio.

In his new role, Lachance will oversee all aspects of the studio's operations and collaborate closely with Warner's publishing divisions and other internal development teams. He will report directly to Ben Bell, the senior vice president for production and studios at WB Games.

Lachance's tenure at Bethesda Game Studios Montreal, which he helped establish in 2015, spanned over eight years.

Before that, he dedicated nearly a decade to Behaviour Interactive, where he undertook several leadership roles.

"The extensive know-how of Warner Bros. Games and its acclaimed franchises provide an impressive base for creating future games," Lachance commented.

"I am excited to join the talented Montreal team to produce unforgettable games tied to some of today's most influential entertainment properties."

WB Games Montreal released Gotham Knights in 2022. Recent job postings hint that the studio is developing a high-profile single-player game based on a DC Comics property, using Unreal Engine 5.
