The strike by the Screen Actors Guild will not affect Electronic Arts, at least in the short term
Last week, the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) announced a strike against major gaming companies, including Electronic Arts (EA). EA's CEO Andrew Wilson assured investors that his company will not be significantly affected by the protests, at least in the short term.

Wilson emphasized that currently, the strike only affects games whose development started after September 2023. This rule also applies to live-service games. Therefore, EA's projects, which have been in development for a long time, are safe. Among them are Dragon Age: The Veilguard and EA Sports FC 25.
Wilson hopes that the gaming companies and the Guild will soon return to the negotiating table and resolve their differences. EA intends to actively participate in the negotiations.
