CD PROJEKT is the most valuable publicly traded gaming company in Poland, with 11 bit studios in second place
On the Warsaw Stock Exchange, there are 24 gaming companies listed with a total market value of over 24 billion zlotys (6 billion dollars). Almost half of that amount is attributed to just one company — CD PROJEKT.
Cyberpunk 2077
This was reported to the Bankier portal by a representative of the exchange. According to him, the current market value of the creators of "The Witcher" and Cyberpunk 2077 is about 11 billion zlotys (2.78 billion dollars). Such a high capitalization allowed CD PROJEKT to be included in the WIG 20 — an index of the 20 most valuable public companies in Poland. Notably, it is the only gaming company in this index, but its exact rank is not specified.
CD PROJEKT also accounts for 73% of the market value of companies in the purely gaming Polish index WIG-gry. The second-largest company in this index is 11 bit studios with a share of 9.3%. The third place among the most valuable Polish gaming companies in the index is held by Huuuge Games with a share of 4.3%.
The Warsaw Stock Exchange is not the only exchange in Poland. The country also has an alternative exchange for smaller companies called NewConnect. It is reported that currently every fifth company registered on it is a gaming company. There are 73 of them. According to expert estimates, the total market value of gaming companies on NewConnect exceeds 1 billion zlotys (253 million dollars).
