Almost a third of Germany's residents are mobile gamers
The number of mobile gamers in Germany is increasing. According to the German gaming association GAME, by the end of 2023, 24.6 million residents of the country were playing mobile games. This is 300,000 people more than the year before.

This is just under a third of Germany's population. According to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), as of December 2023, there were 84.7 million people living in Germany.
52% of German mobile gamers are women. The average age of Germans playing on mobile devices is 40 years.
With the growth in the number of gamers, the German mobile gaming market's revenue has understandably increased. GAME calculated that in 2023, it rose to 2.89 billion euros, a 4% increase year-over-year. In-game purchases accounted for 98% of the total amount (2.885 billion euros). Subscriptions brought in another 43 million euros. Sales of paid mobile games amounted to only 5 million euros.
