Reports indicate that the co-CEOs of Perfect World have resigned
Perfect World's Chief Executive Officer Xiao Hong and co-CEO Lu Xiaoyin have resigned from their positions.
As detailed by Pocket Gamer, which translated official company statements and local media reports, they will be succeeded by former senior VP Gu Liming, who will assume the role of CEO.
Despite stepping down, both executives will continue with the company as directors.
Last month, there were reports of significant job cuts at Perfect World, with thousands of employees apparently affected.
Uncertainty surrounds the current status of the games under development at the studio, which also handles the exclusive distribution of Dota 2 and Counter-Strike 2 in China. The future of titles like One-Punch Man: World and Perfect New World remains unknown.
