A group of former developers from Pixelberry has united to establish a new venture called Candlelight Games
A trio of ex-Pixelberry developers, consisting of Andrew Shvarts, Megan Schwarz, and Royal McGraw, have launched Candlelight Games, a fresh gaming studio focusing on narrative-driven experiences centered around characters.
The co-founders have rallied a team of former Pixelberry talents, determined to craft games that bring joy and surprise to their audience.
Shvarts, head of design at the new studio, shared his excitement on LinkedIn, stating, "I’m beyond thrilled to announce the official debut of Candlelight Games, a brand new narrative game studio led by a team of absolutely incredible former Pixelberry employees."
He continued, "At Candlelight Games, our mission is to deliver heartfelt, character-centric narrative games with meaningful choices that truly resonate with players. We believe in the power of storytelling and are committed to creating immersive experiences that stay with you long after the credits roll."
The team has already commenced work on their inaugural project.
Earlier this month, Pixelberry, known for its episodic mobile games, was acquired by Series Entertainment.
Series Entertainment, which integrates generative AI in game development to create memorable gaming experiences, stated that this acquisition is part of their broader strategy to expand their studio network.
