Former developers of Helldivers 2 and World of Warcraft have opened a new studio called Blue Scarab Entertainment
A new game development studio has officially opened in Sweden. It's called Blue Scarab Entertainment. It was founded by a group of veteran industry professionals who had previously worked on Helldivers 2, World of Warcraft, Star Stable Online, Battlefield, and Age of Conan.
Formally, Blue Scarab Entertainment was founded back in 2021, but they have announced their launch only now. The studio is led by Colin Cragg, the former creative director at Toadman Interactive and producer at Funcom.
Blue Scarab Entertainment’s debut game will be an MMORPG built on Unreal Engine 5. It is an original IP. Recently, the studio secured $7 million in funding for game development from NetEase, Behold Venture, as well as Jonas Antonsson, founder of Raw Fury, Ólafur Andri Ragnarsson, founder of Betware, and Stefan Lindeberg, founder of Creandum.
