Rumor: NetherRealm Studios has shut down its mobile division
NetherRealm Studios seems to have decided to stop working on mobile games. Several former employees of the studio wrote on social media that it has disbanded its mobile team.

According to reports from the Game Industry Layoffs portal, about 50 people have lost their jobs due to the closure of the division.
Neither NetherRealm Studios nor its parent company Warner Bros. Discovery has publicly announced the studio's restructuring or layoffs.
NetherRealm Studios' mobile portfolio includes smartphone versions of games such as Mortal Kombat, Injustice, and Batman: Arkham. It is unknown who will now be responsible for their development or whether the support for these titles will continue at all.
