Narwhal published a list of questions that an investor might ask a game developer during initial meetings
What questions should a developer be prepared for when negotiating a deal with an investor? The game accelerator Narwhal shared some insights. The CEO of Narwhal, Dmitry Filatov, published a document with a list of potential questions in his Telegram channel, DogDog.
The questions in Narwhal's list are divided into eight categories: general questions, finances, developers' plans, partnership terms, team, processes/technology, marketing, and game specifics. There are over 30 questions in total.
Filatov reminded developers that negotiations with an investor are "like a date, not buying yourself in a store." Developers should not be afraid to ask all sorts of questions and inquire about the nuances of working with a specific investor. The same rule applies to communicating with publishers.
