Sony Music, Aniplex, and Pocketpair have come together to establish Palworld Entertainment

Sony Music Entertainment, Aniplex, and the developer of Palworld, Pocketpair, have collaborated to establish a new joint venture known as Palworld Entertainment.

This announcement was shared on social media, noting that the new venture will aim to further Palworld's "global development."

According to a report by Siliconera, Palworld Entertainment will prioritize the expansion of the IP, incorporating licensing opportunities and the sale of merchandise through Aniplex's store.

Palworld, which launched earlier this year, quickly became a surprising success, achieving six million copies sold within just four days. The sales trajectory continued to rise, eventually making the game the most significant third-party launch on Xbox Game Pass.

By the close of February, the game had amassed 25 million players.

Shortly after the game's release, legal experts discussed the implications for developers in the Palworld versus Pokémon debate, examining whether Pocketpair's title infringed upon The Pokémon Company's intellectual property rights.
