The Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and APRIORI are planning to launch a voluntary game labeling experiment this fall

Alexander Mikheev, the General Director of the Association of Professionals in the Game Development and Operation Industry (APRION), informed the newspaper "Izvestia" that the start of a voluntary experiment to label games on the Russian market is scheduled for early fall. He did not specify an exact date but indicated that the initiative will not launch before September 1st.

According to "Izvestia," this is what the labeling will look like

According to Mikheev, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development has preliminarily approved seven descriptors. These warn about the presence of scenes of violence, fear, sex, as well as the presence of foul language, drugs, alcohol with smoking, and in-game purchases within the games.

Currently, companies like VK (on the VK Play and RuStore platforms), Lesta Games, Astrum Entertainment, and 1C Games are testing technological solutions for implementing the descriptors.
