The elements interfered with Google's plans

Google has canceled the planned presentation of new smartphones and tablets of the Nexus line, as well as the announcement of Android 4.2.

Media representatives invited to the event were sent notifications explaining that it would not take place due to Hurricane Sandy. The organizers of the event promised that they would soon announce a new date for the presentation.

Hurricane Sandy, also already nicknamed “Frankenstorm”, is moving to the East Coast from the Atlantic Ocean at a speed of 17-20 km per hour. According to forecasters, it may well cause significant damage to such states as New Jersey and New York. A state of emergency has also already been declared in the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Cuba, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and the Bahamas have already been affected by the disaster. At the moment, the death toll as a result of the disaster has reached 65 people.
