Dungeon & Fighter Mobile generates $270 million in its debut month in China
Tencent and Nexon's mobile game, Dungeon & Fighter Mobile, pulled in over $270 million within its first month of launching in China, according to data from Sensor Tower.
Bloomberg reported that since its debut on May 21, the game topped both download and revenue rankings on Apple's App Store, surpassing Tencent's highest-grossing game, Honor of Kings, by doubling its earnings.
Initially released in South Korea in 2022, Dungeon & Fighter Mobile is a spin-off from Nexon's Dungeon & Fighter series. Tencent secured publishing rights for the Chinese market, although the launch was postponed due to government regulations, according to PocketGamer.
Nan Lu, Sensor Tower's senior director of Asia-Pacific marketing, noted, "Dungeon & Fighter Mobile has consistently held top positions across all categories on the iOS charts since its release."
Lu added, "This remarkable performance has been stable. Future success will hinge on Tencent's management and ongoing game updates."
