The creators of Lineage will split into two companies
South Korean company NCSOFT has decided to undergo restructuring. It plans to split its business into two companies: NC QA Company and NC IDS Company.

- NC QA Company will focus on game testing and all related activities.
- NC IDS Company will specialize in game development and publishing.
NC QA Company and NC IDS Company are temporary names. The companies plan to rename them in the future.
NCSOFT stated that this division will enable it to manage the business more effectively. On August 14, it will hold a shareholders' meeting where investors will vote for or against the restructuring. If supported, NCSOFT will split on October 1.
