Brainspark Games secures £1.4 million in new funding
Digital learning company Brainspark Games has secured £1.4 million through a blend of angel investments and grants from Innovate UK.
This funding will be allocated towards enhancing the company's technology, production capabilities, and sales efforts.
The investment, totaling £700,000, came from a group of seasoned investors in the gaming and education sectors. Leading this group were David Haynes and Petri Rajahalme from FOV Ventures, accompanied by Wahed Ventures and Nick Button-Brown of The Games Angels.
For the past two years, Brainspark Games has dedicated its efforts to research and development, which has been supported by seven grants from Innovate UK, amounting to £1.3 million.
During the initial funding phase, CEO and founder Reedah El-Saie secured £470,000.
"I'm thrilled about the possibilities for Brainspark Games to transform children's learning experiences through play, bridging the virtual and real worlds," El-Saie shared on LinkedIn.
Since its establishment in 2019, Brainspark Games has been focused on creating educational mobile games that correspond with the UK's national curriculum for children aged seven to thirteen.
