Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson received $25.6 million in compensation for the fiscal year 2024

For the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2024, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of Electronic Arts, saw his total compensation rise by 22% to exceed $25.6 million.

His pay package included a base salary of $1.3 million, stock awards worth over $20 million, non-equity incentive plan compensation amounting to $3.4 million, and additional compensation exceeding $500,000, according to EA's annual proxy statement and report for FY24.

In the previous fiscal year, he earned $20.6 million.

Wilson is the highest-paid executive at EA, with Laura Miele, president of EA entertainment, technology, and central development, receiving $12 million for the same period.

As highlighted by Game Developer, EA's executive team collectively garnered over $60 million in 2024.

"Our board of directors, compensation committee, and EA management are steadfast in maintaining pay-for-performance alignment in our executive compensation program," stated the document.

"This approach aims to reward company-wide financial and business achievements, individual performance, and creation of long-term shareholder value while recognizing the highly competitive market for top executive talent."

Additionally, shareholders were asked to approve the reactivation of EA’s 2019 equity incentive plan, which would increase the number of common stock shares by 2.1 million.

EA emphasized that this measure is "critical to attract and retain talent," and noted the "dynamic change and transformation" in the digital interactive entertainment industry, creating an intensely competitive market for talent.

In February, EA reduced its workforce by 5% and closed down Ridgeline Games. In 2023, the company had already laid off 6% of its employees, roughly equating to 775 individuals at the time.

In 2021, EA revised its executive compensation structure, including caps on executive bonuses. During that year, Wilson's compensation totaled $39.2 million, marking an 83% increase over FY2020. In 2022, his compensation dropped to $19.9 million and has been climbing since.

For fiscal year 2024, EA reported revenue of $7.56 billion, a 2% increase from the previous year.
