Galvanic Games announces its closure

Galvanic Games, a game development company from Seattle, has ceased operations.

Patrick Morgan, the president and founder of Galvanic Games, disclosed this on social media, attributing the studio's closure to insufficient sales of its most recent title, Wizard with a Gun.

"The previous year has been incredibly challenging for the gaming industry," Morgan stated. "Despite having several promising discussions at DICE and GDC, the time required to secure new projects, even under favorable conditions, was more than what our remaining resources could handle."

He added, "It's deeply ironic to have spent ten years building the perfect team, only for things to unravel after our most successful year. The commitment, ingenuity, and effort of every team member have been truly exceptional."

Established in 2015, Galvanic Games released its first title, Gurgamoth, in 2016. This was followed by The Rust Belt, Rapture Rejects, and Some Distant Memory.

In 2023, the studio collaborated with Devolver Digital to launch Wizard with a Gun.
