GI Sprint set to commence tomorrow with full details on the speaker line-up

A new series hosted by GamesIndustry.biz called GI Sprint is set to launch, offering three weeks of content—including video panels, podcasts, and interviews—aimed at helping developers produce games more efficiently and cost-effectively.

Amid increasing development expenses, input from industry veterans and professionals will provide strategies for enhancing both business and development workflows. The series will wrap up on Friday, July 5.

Starting tomorrow, a keynote conversation with seasoned games industry figure and ex-PlayStation leader Shawn Layden will address the unsustainable nature of AAA game production and propose necessary adjustments. This keynote will be available in multiple formats, including a video, a podcast, and a summarized article.

Highlights of the series include:

  • An interview with IO Interactive's CTO Ulas Karademir discussing his return to the company and his strategies for improving game development velocities (Article)
  • A discussion on rapid failure in game development with Rami Ismail, FreeLives' Dominique Gawlowski, and Ant Workshop's Tony Gowland to understand its critical role (Video, Podcast, Article)
  • An exploration of artificial intelligence's role in accelerating game development with insights from AI experts Tommy Thompson, Sean Cooper, Aleena Chia, Lauren Maslen, and Lucie Migne (Video, Podcast, Article)
