Pieces Interactive, the studio that developed the new Alone in the Dark, has closed down

The studio Pieces Interactive ceased to exist after 17 years of operation. They announced this on their official website.

Alone in the Dark

Pieces Interactive did not explain the reason behind this decision. Most likely, it was made by the studio's parent company, Embracer Group. In their latest financial report, they reported that sales of the Alone in the Dark reboot, developed by Pieces Interactive, did not meet expectations.

Pieces Interactive was founded in 2007. Since its inception, it developed over a dozen games for consoles, PCs, and mobile devices. Among them are Puzzlegeddon, Fret Nice, Leviathan Warships, Robo Surf, and Kill to Collect. The studio also participated in the creation of Magicka 2. The Alone in the Dark reboot became its final project.
