The summer showcases highlighted Zelda, Doom, and Astro Bot as the most coveted games
Update: The most wishlisted titles from the recent summer game showcases are The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Astro Bot.
Recent data has been refreshed following the Nintendo Direct event. This update is sourced from the IGN Playlist, a tool for tracking game backlogs and play activity, available both online and on mobile.
The list does not predict sales figures. For instance, although two of the top three games release in September, games like Doom (No.2) or Gears of War (No.4), scheduled for later, have more time to accumulate wishlists.
This ranking only includes titles featured in the showcases, excluding highly anticipated games like GTA 6, which is IGN's overall most wishlisted game. Additionally, it counts new wishlists only, so games like Assassin's Creed Shadows (No.7) or Fable (No.9) had existing wishlists before the events.
Despite these factors, the list reflects recent player interest trends. The high ranking of Perfect Dark, for example, is noteworthy.
The new Zelda game, revealed during Nintendo Direct, quickly topped the list. This new installment, a top-down game where Zelda is a playable character for the first time, diverges from last year's expansive 3D adventure.
Doom: The Dark Ages stood out in the Xbox showcase. Its trailer impressed, and its availability on PS5 broadens its audience compared to other Xbox exclusives.
Initially leading after its reveal at Sony's State of Play, Astro Bot now ranks third. This sequel to Astro's Playroom, a tech demo bundled with every PS5, could become a sleeper hit for Sony.

Original Story:
Astro Bot has topped the wishlist charts for the summer game showcases, leading all the games announced over the past two weeks.
This data is from the IGN Playlist, an activity tracker for gaming available both online and on mobile.
The following chart is derived from the wishlisting behaviors of over 43,000 players from May 30 to June 12.
Considering Sony had not planned to release any major titles from existing IPs this year, the popularity of Astro Bot, set for release on September 6, may be unexpected.
Astro Bot, a follow-up to the Astro's Playroom tech demo that comes with every PS5 (with over 56 million units sold), has a broad audience, including early adopters likely to support the sequel.
While PlayStation holds the top position, Xbox titles dominate the rest of the Top Ten. Amongst them, Doom: The Dark Ages, demonstrated at Microsoft's showcase, takes second place. Also launching on PS5, it reaches a larger market compared to Xbox exclusives like Gears of War: E-Day (No.3) and Perfect Dark (No.4).
This ranking captures wishlists created specifically during this two-week window, favoring newly revealed games over those like Assassin's Creed Shadows (No.5) or Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (No.9), which already had an established wishlist base.
Among new IPs from the showcases, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, developed by Sandfall Interactive and published by Kepler Interactive, leads. Close behind is South of Midnight from Compulsion Games and Xbox, which recently received its first gameplay trailer.
Kepler Interactive has another title in the Top 25 with Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (No.21).
Several indie titles have also made the list. Mixtape from Beethoven and Dinosaur, published by Annapurna, impressed during the Xbox showcase and placed at No.15. Neva, highlighted at Geoff Keighley's Summer Games Fest, positioned at No.20.
Sequels lead the Top Five, but the list includes nine original games overall.
This is an initial snapshot from the summer showcases. Additional updates to this chart are expected as Nintendo and other publishers continue to reveal new titles.
