GamesIndustry.biz set to join IGN Live for a discussion on the future of gaming platforms
The future landscape of gaming platforms will be explored in a special panel during IGN Live on Sunday.
Christopher Dring of GamesIndustry.biz will moderate the discussion featuring Shawn Layden, former PlayStation executive now advising Tencent, along with veteran analyst Michael Pachter, and author/historian Van Burnham. The session, to be held at 2 PM local time in Los Angeles, will be covered on IGN and GamesIndustry.biz.
This 30-minute discussion will delve into the future roles of consoles, emerging trends in mobile and PC gaming, and the potential impacts of game streaming, as well as titles like Fortnite and Roblox within the metaverse.
IGN Live is part of a series of gaming events taking place in Los Angeles this week, in the timeframe traditionally reserved for the E3 trade show. Other highlights include Summer Games Fest, Play Days, and Ubisoft Forward, in addition to Xbox engaging with the media after its Games Showcase.
