An IT city with a focus on game development will be built in Dagestan

The gaming company Geeky House and the Dagestan authorities have officially agreed to create a city-cluster in the region to develop the IT sector in general and the gaming industry in particular. They signed the corresponding agreement at the SPIEF 2024.

They plan to build "ITgrad" on the shore of the Caspian Sea. Currently, Geeky House is determining the exact location and boundaries of the construction site.

It is anticipated to be a fully-fledged small city where both major companies and startups will open branches. Whether any companies have already agreed has not been disclosed. According to Geeky House's press release, "ITgrad" will feature all necessary living infrastructure, affordable housing, modern office spaces, educational centers, incubators, accelerators, and much more. Additionally, the city will attract investments to support innovative projects.
