The former managing director of Ubisoft Massive has opened his own studio
Ubisoft veteran David Polfeldt has announced the launch of a studio called Bespoke Pixel. He has already secured initial investments totaling $25 million.
Bespoke Pixel is based in Barcelona. Currently, it consists of only five members, including Polfeldt, but the studio plans to hire additional staff.
At present, Bespoke Pixel is working on an open-world multiplayer game with a strong focus on gameplay. This is an original IP. According to the job descriptions, the game is being developed using Unreal Engine and is planned for release on PC and consoles.
It should be reminded that Polfeldt left Ubisoft Massive in 2022 after 17 years, most of which he spent as a managing director. After his departure, he became a strategic advisor at PlayerUnknown Productions and The Walt Disney Company.
