The former managing director of Ubisoft Massive has opened his own studio
Ubisoft veteran David Polfeldt announced the launch of a studio called Bespoke Pixel. He has already secured initial investments of $25 million.
Bespoke Pixel is based in Barcelona. Currently, it has only five employees, including Polfeldt, but the studio intends to hire additional staff.
Right now, Bespoke Pixel is working on an open-world multiplayer game with a strong focus on gameplay. It is an original IP. According to the job descriptions, the game is being developed on Unreal Engine and is planned for release on PC and consoles.
It is worth noting that Polfeldt left Ubisoft Massive in 2022 after 17 years, most of which he spent as Managing Director. After leaving the company, he became a strategic advisor for PlayerUnknown Productions and The Walt Disney Company.
