Epic Games and Scopely made it into Time's list of the top 100 most influential companies of 2024
Last week, Time magazine published its annual list of the 100 most influential companies. There were two pure gaming companies in the ranking — Epic Games and Scopely.

The list is divided into several categories. Epic Games was placed in the "Pioneers" category, alongside companies such as OpenAI, Intuitive Machines, and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. The accompanying text, explaining why the Fortnite developers made the top-100, highlights Epic Games' efforts to combat monopoly power in the mobile app store market.
Scopely made it onto the "Innovators" list. Among its peers in the category are Google, AMD, and Huawei. Time magazine recognized the success of the game MONOPOLY GO!, which earned over $2 billion.
It's worth noting that Microsoft, Amazon, and the aforementioned Google also made the top 100. They are involved in gaming as well, but it's only part of their business.
