Activision won a lawsuit against Call of Duty cheat sellers for over $14 million
The US court sided with Activision in the case against the portals EngineOwning, Garnatz Enterprise, and 11 individuals involved in selling cheats. The court ordered them to pay the company $14.4 million in damages and an additional $292,900 in attorney fees.

The court also demanded that EngineOwning and the other offenders cease distributing cheats and transfer the domain www.EngineOwning.to to Activision.
The legal proceedings between the parties have been ongoing since 2022. In February 2023, the court already found at least the EngineOwning team guilty and awarded Activision $3 million in compensation. However, EngineOwning continued to sell cheats, leading Activision to return to court.
