CD PROJEKT stated that it does not feel threatened by the Polish branch of Larian Studios

Last week, the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3 announced the launch of a studio in Warsaw, which will assist other offices in developing two ambitious RPGs. During an investor presentation, CD PROJEKT's COO Piotr Karwowski said there's no problem with this.

"Do we see a threat? To be honest, there's always a risk that someone from our team may leave for another company. Whether they join a studio in Warsaw or get a job elsewhere, it's not a huge difference. The world is quite small, and developers, especially those at a senior level, are very mobile. If someone doesn't want to work on our project and dreams of collaborating with someone else, they will leave regardless. So whether Larian Studios operates next door or not, from our perspective, it doesn't change much. We wish them nothing but the best," stated Karwowski.

Karwowski added that the more good studios there are, the better. He considers Larian Studios a wonderful team, and its head, Swen Vincke, an "excellent guy." Karwowski admitted he played through Baldur’s Gate 3 and was pleased with the game.
