Nintendo is acquiring the creators of the ports for Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1
Nintendo has reached an agreement to purchase Shiver Entertainment for an undisclosed amount. Currently, it is owned by Embracer Group.

The details and terms of the deal remain unknown. It is only reported that after the acquisition, Shiver Entertainment will continue to develop its own games and work on ports for various platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.
Founded in 2012, Shiver Entertainment specializes mainly in creating ports for consoles and PC. For example, it ported Hogwarts Legacy to PlayStation 4 from Xbox One and adapted Mortal Kombat 1 for the Nintendo Switch. It also developed Scribblenauts Showdown. It became part of Embracer Group in 2021, joining as one of the studios under Saber Interactive. The value of Shiver Entertainment was not disclosed publicly at that time either.
