Contraband Police earned more than 10 million dollars with 800 thousand copies sold
Such data was shared on social networks by Krzysztof Kostowski, CEO of PlayWay, publisher of the border guard simulator Contraband Police.

Kostowski noted that $10 million is the net revenue of the game. Steam commission, taxes and refunds have already been deducted from this amount. 75% of the revenue was received by the Polish studio Crazy Rocks, which developed Contraband Police.
Contraband Police overcame the $10 million milestone in gross revenue at the end of December 2023.
Now Contraband Police's revenue is several times higher than the game's budget. A year ago, the head of PlayWay reported that the development and marketing of the border guard simulator cost a total of 2 million zlotys, which as of March 2023 amounted to 454.7 thousand dollars. It is noteworthy that the game recouped all costs almost immediately. It only took her two days to pay off.
According to Kostovsky, Contraband Police is especially actively being bought in the United States. The States accounted for 34% of the copies of the game sold in the last three months, i.e., about 51 thousand. He did not specify how sales were distributed to other countries.
Contraband Police was released on March 8, 2023. Recall the dynamics of sales of the game:
