Nekki has agreed with the producers of the "Sonic in the Cinema" tape to shoot a TV adaptation of their next game SPINE

The developer of the Shadow Fight series announced the conclusion of a partnership with the media company Story Kitchen. The latter will take up filming a TV project based on the yet-to-be-released game SPINE.

SPINE

"It's hard to overestimate such a partnership. We are grateful to Story Kitchen that they saw the potential of SPINE, and of course we will do our best to help them realize this project. First of all, our task is to make a cool game. But it's very nice to get such attention from the Hollywood industry. To be honest, my colleagues and I have not been able to recall an example when an announcement about a potential television project for the game, and even more so for a new franchise, was released several years before the release of this very game. Well, apparently we are on the right track," Nikita Korzhavin, Director of Business Development at Nekki, commented on the agreement.

It is unclear whether this will be a movie or a TV series. The parties only agreed that the future project is intended for "small" screens.

The plot of the project, as well as the plot of the game, will be devoted to the story of the street artist Radline, who is looking for her brother and fighting the authoritarian AI regime and its henchmen from Tensor corporation.

There is no information at the moment about the terms of the deal, who can take part in the filming, as well as possible release dates.

Story Kitchen is an American company that specializes in film adaptations of game franchises. Among its founders is Dmitry M. Johnson, one of the producers of the Sonic in the Cinema series.

In addition to SPINE, the studio is engaged in "Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft", an animated series for Netflix, as well as projects based on Streets of Rage, Sifu, Disco Elysium, Dredge and many others.

As for the game SPINE, it is also still in development. Nothing is known about the release date of this third-person bitmap for PC and consoles.
