Hasbro has allocated $ 1 billion for the development of AAA games
Hasbro, which owns the rights to Dungeons & Dragons, decided to invest more in video games after the success of Baldur's Gate 3 and MONOPOLY GO!. In an interview with GameSpot, Dan Ayoub, head of digital product development, mentioned that she has distributed $1 billion between her subsidiary studios working on AAA-level projects.

According to Ayub, some of the games will be based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe. Studios are also making games based on other Hasbro franchises and new IP.
For example, Archetype Entertainment studio, founded by BioWare veterans, received its share of $ 1 billion. She is currently working on the sci-fi RPG Exodus. Atomic Arcade Studios, which is developing a game based on G.I. Joe toy soldiers, as well as Invoke Studios for the Dungeons & Dragons game, also allocated money.
It is not reported how much money each particular studio got.
Earlier, in an interview with journalist Stephen Totilo from Game File, Hasbro's senior vice president for digital strategy and licensing, Eugene Evans, said that more than 40 video games are being developed under the company's control. These are both projects of Hasbro's internal studios and games created by its partners.
Recall that by December 31, 2023, Hasbro earned about $ 90 million on Baldur's Gate 3. It is unknown how many royalties she received from the authors of MONOPOLY GO!, but in mid-March, Scopely announced that the game's revenue exceeded $ 2 billion.
