The developer studio of All I Have is Time and Beatbuddy has closed
The German indie studio Threats has not survived the crisis in the gaming industry. It ceased to exist after 15 years of operation.
All I Have is Time
The management of Threats warned about the imminent closure of the studio on January 18. In a farewell letter, the developers said they hoped for a miracle that would save them. This has happened before: in 2014, 2017 and 2021, Threats was on the verge of closure, but was able to pull through.
However, this time the miracle did not happen. On February 3, Kevin Hagen, the studio's technical director, wrote on LinkedIn that Threats had fired all employees — there were 25 of them.
The reason for the closure of Threats is the same as for most recently closed studios — financial problems.
Threats was founded in 2009. Since then, she has released 18 games, including Beatbuddy: Tale of the Guardians and Battle Planet: Judgment Day. In total, her games have sold over a million copies.
The next Threats games were supposed to be an adventure game about the inevitability of death All I Have is Time and a shooter Project MORPH.
