Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth tops 1 million copies sold, making it fastest game in series to cross this mark
The launch of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth turned out to be successful for Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The game has already sold over 1 million copies.
Sega made the announcement on social media. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth took just one week from its January 26 launch to cross the 1 million mark, but it is unclear how sales are split between PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
The Japanese company also noted that Infinite Wealth became the fastest title in the Like a Dragon/Yakuza series to reach this milestone.

According to Famitsu, the game also topped the charts in Japan for the week of January 22-28. It sold 180,074 physical copies on PlayStation alone, with PS5 accounting for 102,940 of the total.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth became the 4th highest-grossing premium game on Steam for the week of January 23-30. It was only behind another Japanese release, Tekken 8, and two survival hits — Enshrouded and Palworld.
The game peaked at 46,161 concurrent players (via SteamDB), making it the fifth new release of 2024 by that metric so far. The top five includes Palworld (2.1 million CCU), Enshrouded (160.4k CCU), Granblue Fantasy: Relink (73.9k CCU), and Tekken 8 (49.9k CCU).
Infinite Wealth also had the biggest launch on Steam among other Like a Dragon titles, surpassing The Man Who Erased His Name (13.7k CCU) and Yakuza: Like a Dragon (9.5k CCU).

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the ninth main installment in the series, also serving as a sequel to 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon. It is hard to compare its launch worldwide sales to previous titles due to the lack of official data (especially for older projects). But the entire franchise had sold over 21.3 million units globally as of November 2023.
