One of the veterans of Guerrilla Games Leszek Szczepanski has announced that he is quitting the studio. He has worked in it for more than 11 years.

Szczepanski said on LinkedIn that he decided to quit in order to "take on new challenges and embark on new adventures." According to the developer, he has become one step closer to the dream of creating truly special games himself. Szczepanski is already working on a certain project, but is not ready to talk about it yet.

"There are no words in any dictionary to fully describe what the time spent at Guerrilla Games means to me as a person and as a professional. I came to Amsterdam as a shy kid, with one suitcase and a dream to make CRPGs, and now I am an experienced game developer with famous games on my resume and a much more confident and open person," wrote Szczepanski.

Szczepanski started working in the gaming industry in 2008, getting a job at the Polish mobile studio Playsoft. In November 2012, he joined Guerrilla Games, where he was initially the programmer of the Killzone: Shadow Fall shooter. Szczepanski then began coordinating the teams that handled the gameplay of Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon: Forbidden West.
