Two plans for the development of the gaming industry are being prepared in Russia at once

Two long-term plans are being developed independently to support and develop the Russian gaming industry. One is prepared by the organization for the development of the video game industry (RVI), and the second is prepared by the gaming association A PRIORI.

According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the goal of the RVI roadmap is "to achieve the growth of the video game industry to 0.4%-0.5% of Russia's GDP by 2029." The compilers state that it is the result of two years of work, consists of practical steps and takes into account foreign experience.

A separate version of the roadmap is being prepared by the A PRIORI gaming association with the participation of the ANO Digital Economy. There are no details about its specific goals yet. The first version of the document was sent to market representatives back in September. After that, the association began to collect feedback.

"We will present our version of the map as soon as we make and coordinate all the necessary edits so that the document reflects the current demands of the gaming industry to the state as much as possible," Mikheev told Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

Unnamed experts note that the formation of several parallel plans for the development of the industry "may lead to the fact that they "torpedo each other," thereby giving the green light to less developed and expert initiatives."
