Judging by Scriabin's words, the developers managed to sell the first 2 million copies in the debut week. Then sales slowed down. At what point they reached the mark of 5 million copies is not specified. Perhaps the figure is relevant for June 2021 - from that moment on, Scriabin does not work at Electronic Arts.
Neither Electronic Arts nor BioWare, which developed the game, have officially disclosed sales of the game. Shortly before the release of Anthem in February 2019, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen said that the company expects to sell 5-6 million copies of the game in the first month. In May of the same year, CEO Andrew Wilson announced that Anthem had not met expectations.
According to the analytical company SuperData, in the debut month, Anthem's digital sales amounted to $100 million, and the revenue of the game with IAP exceeded $3.5 million.
