"A year of rapid growth" — Kian Khozuri from ByteBrew on the results of 2023

We continue to summarize the results of 2023 with gaming (or related to the gaming industry) teams. Next up is an interview with Kian Khozuri, COO and co—founder of the ByteBrew analytical service.

What was this year like for the company? What moments/achievements would you like to share?

For ByteBrew, 2023 was a year of rapid growth. The number of development studios using ByteBrew has more than doubled. Now, two years after the release, the ByteBrew platform is used by more than 10 thousand developers.

In 2023, we launched 10 new products on the platform, including: Journeys, Developer Hub, Remote Config Conditions, new SDK platforms and more. In addition, our team has also increased.

This year, our platform became a finalist in the Pocket Gamer Mobile Game Awards in the Best Analytics Finalist category, and also received the Game Changer of 2024 award according to Lightspeed Venture Partners and GamesBeat.

What do you think about the game marketing and mobile analytics market in 2023? What changes/improvements/problems did the market face compared to the previous year/couple of years?

In 2023, both the cost of service platforms and the cost of purchasing users in the mobile game ecosystem increased dramatically. This had a huge impact on the release of new games and the work of studios in general. The changed market conditions prompted studios to actively reduce costs, including for third-party paid, often expensive, services that slowed down their growth, and many developers decided to switch to new, more affordable or free tools.

Have there been any changes in the way you interact with your customers (gaming companies) in 2023? If so, what are these changes and how have they affected the business?

Nothing has changed globally for us. Over the past two years, we have developed a strong, cohesive community of developers who use ByteBrew product analytics. And we continue to pay great attention to his support.

What trends in game marketing and analytics have been the most noticeable/influential this year?

AI solutions have become a major trend in gaming in 2023. Thanks to recent innovations in this field, we have witnessed the creative application of artificial intelligence to support the process of creating game hypotheses.

In addition, expensive traffic is likely to encourage mobile developers to search for alternative product placement platforms for additional income. We predict that studios will become more active in porting their games to web browsers.

What are the company's plans for next year?

Every year, our mission remains the same — to remain a useful and accessible partner that provides developers with data for the development and growth of games. In addition, of course, we will continue to work on creating new products that will be available through the ByteBrew platform.
