In the first three weeks, Warcraft Rumble earned over $13 million. Six times less than Clash Royale
The Warcraft Rumble mobile action strategy has brought Blizzard Entertainment $13.7 million in three weeks since its release, according to data from the AppMagic analytical platform. Although this is a good result for the game in its segment, it is far from the starting figures of the hit Clash Royale.
Important: AppMagic does not show the amount of money that users have spent in the game. We are talking about the amount received by developers after deducting mobile store fees and taxes.
Let's remind you how Clash Royale started.
Supercell released Clash Royale in a global release on March 2, 2016. The game immediately began to gain good sales. According to AppMagic, the very next day Clash Royale earned more than $ 2 million, and three weeks later its revenue reached $87.8 million.
Clash Royale was no less active in collecting downloads. By the end of the third week, they had reached 42.7 million.
Warcraft Rumble was inferior in starting revenue to Blizzard Entertainment's previous novelty, Diablo Immortal. According to AppMagic, in the three weeks since its release (June 2 — June 23, 2022), it earned $33.2 million with 8 million downloads. By June 2, 2023, the game's revenue exceeded $525 million, making Diablo Immortal one of the fastest mobile games to break the half billion dollar mark.
Warcraft Rumble earned the most money in the United States ($5.9 million), Germany ($1.2 million), South Korea ($845.5 million), Taiwan ($754 million) and France ($723 million). 53% of the title's revenue came from the App Store, 47% of revenue came from Google Play.
As for downloads, Warcraft Rumble has been downloaded 4.2 million times in three weeks. Ten times less than Clash Royale at the time, and half as much as Diablo Immortal.
Thus, ARPU Warcraft Rumble in all regions (average revenue per user) is $ 3.24. However, the indicator varies greatly depending on the country. For example, in the USA, Warcraft Rumble has a download revenue of $5.7, and in France — $10.7.
Blizzard Entertainment first introduced the Warcraft Rumble in May 2022. Back then, the game was also called Warcraft Arclight Rumble. Unlike Diablo Immortal, developed by the company in partnership with the Chinese NetEase, Warcraft Rumble was created by Blizzard Entertainment itself. The game was released on November 2, 2023.
