The developer studio of Feather and KILLBUG has closed after almost ten years of work
The Australian studio Samurai Punk has announced its closure. She disbanded the entire team, but promised to continue supporting the games for the foreseeable future.
"Samurai Punk opened in 2014 at a time when there were not enough jobs in Australia. We had two options: to start a company or move abroad and look for work there," Samurai Punk said in a statement. "Since then, we've grown a lot as developers and learned a lot about what we want as people working on games. After analyzing everything, we realized that it was time to break up and go on new adventures."
There are nine games in the Samurai Punk portfolio. The latest was the KILLBUG shooter about bloodthirsty insects, released in May 2023. The studio also has titles such as Feather, The American Dream and Screencheat.
