The studio of former developers Night in the Woods has closed
In 2019, two former developers of the adventure game Night in the Woods, along with a colleague from another game company, opened The Glory Society studio. Four years later, the studio announced the suspension and cancellation of its debut game Revenant Hill.
The Glory Society explained that two members of the team had serious health problems, which caused them to leave the studio indefinitely. This turned out to be a big loss for The Glory Society: there are not many people working in the studio, and the time and budget for developing the game are limited.
"We are a cooperative, and we make decisions together. For us, it was an obvious path to the well-being of the team, which, frankly, is more important than the games. In the future, when the dust settles, maybe we'll talk about what we've done and what we've learned," said The Glory Society.
