NetEase has opened a studio headed by a former MMO producer for League of Legends
A new studio, Fantastic Pixel Castle, has appeared under the wing of the Chinese company NetEase. It was headed by former League of Legends MMO executive producer Greg Street.
The debut game of Fantastic Pixel Castle will be an MMORPG in a fantasy setting codenamed Ghost. According to Street, during the development of the game, the studio is going to actively communicate with gamers and listen to their opinions.
The studio's team includes former developers of World of Warcraft, Guild Wars 2, Fortnite, Overwatch and Valorant.
Note: in April 2023, Street announced that he wanted to establish his own studio, which would develop "an MMO or something very similar to an MMO." Then he said that he had already found a strategic partner. Apparently, the partner was NetEase, thanks to which Fantastic Pixel Castle was opened.
