Izvestia: 50 game studios have been opened in Russia in a year and a half
Game development studios are being actively opened in Russia, the Izvestia newspaper writes. She reports, citing data from the Video Game Industry Development Organization (RVI), that at least 50 new studios have appeared in the country over the past 18 months.
These are mostly small and medium-sized teams. They are mainly focused on Russian players, but over time they hope to reach a foreign audience.
RVI told Izvestia that the organization is currently negotiating with China. She wants the Chinese regulator to issue 15 licenses annually to companies from Russia to release games in China.
