The Actors Guild of the USA has not reached an agreement with the game companies, but there will be no strike yet
On September 26-28, a scheduled negotiation session was held between the Actors Guild of the USA SAG-AFTRA and the game companies cooperating with it. It has not yet been possible to agree on a new contract.
Despite this, the Guild leadership did not announce the start of the strike. A joint statement with the gaming companies said that "the current contract will remain in force while the parties make final efforts to reach an agreement."
Negotiations between the Guild and the gaming companies have been going on for almost a year now — the current contract was supposed to expire in November 2022. Earlier this week, Guild members supported the decision to hold a strike if it is not possible to agree on conditions acceptable to all.
