Regulators approved the deal between SEGA and Rovio
SEGA has received all the necessary permits from antitrust regulators to purchase the authors of Angry Birds. This was announced by Rovio in a report for investors.
The fact that SEGA is buying Rovio became known in mid-April. Initially, the media reported that SEGA would pay $ 1 billion for Finnish developers, but the companies refuted this figure and announced that the size of the deal would be €706 million ($775.8 million at that time).
It is assumed that the transaction will be completed before August 7, 2023.
